PRICES FOR THE RENT OF PRIVATE SPEEDBOATS

THE FOLLOWING PRICES INCLUDE:

fuel, captain/guide, use of snorkeling gears, beach towels, life jackets and drinking water.

Please note that Coron Islands are ancestral domain of the Tagbanua Tribe and by the law they are entitle to charge an entrance fee to each tourist to enter each attraction that are NOT included in the price for the rent of the private speedboat .

The minimum passengers price is for two adults. Depending on the destinations and on the number of the guests (and their weight) we will choose the right speedboat with the right engine (they all have Yamaha and Suzuky outboard engines till 250hp). The maximum capacity of our largest speedboat is 15/18 guests (depending on the weight of the guests). We can combine more speedboats for largest groups, pls ask for persanlized prices for groups bigger of 15 guests. Infant are free. Kids less than 12 years old will pay half price

THESE PRICES ARE VALID FOR TRIPS STARTING AND ENDING ON THE HOUSEBOATS

AND ARE RESERVED TO THE GUESTS THAT STAY OVERNIGHT!

If guests would like to start their excursion directly from Coron Town at 7:00 AM on the day of arrival, we will make a special exception for this arrangement and charge only a total of Php 650 as a contribution toward the additional speedboat fuel, while providing the private van transfer complimentary.

Our normal check-in time is 2:00 PM, and the standard transfer included with the booking is provided by shared van and shared speedboat.

As published on our website, guests may also request a private pick-up. In this case, they normally pay only the additional fuel cost of Php 1,300 for the speedboat round trip between PaoLyn and Coron Town, since our speedboats are based at PaoLyn, plus a contribution toward the cost of the private van transfer. For guests arriving from the airport, this contribution is Php 1,500, while the normal market price for a private van from the airport is approximately Php 2,000–2,500 depending on the operator.

However, to make our guests more comfortable and allow them to take full advantage of the morning of their arrival/check-in day for an excursion, we will waive the cost of the private van transfer, whether the pick-up is from the airport or from a hotel in Coron Town proper.

We will charge only Php 650 as a contribution toward the additional speedboat fuel required to pick the guests up in Coron Town and start the excursion directly from there at 7:00 AM.

We will also take care of the guests’ luggage while they are on the excursion. This way, guests can make the most of the morning on their check-in day, enjoy a full excursion starting early, and then, once they arrive at PaoLyn and check into their room, relax and enjoy the houseboats without needing to spend part of their stay going out again for an excursion. Please provide the size for the fins and also if you would like additional cold drinks (water is complimentary) so our staff can already load the speedboat with all the necessary!

Prices of the rent of the speedboats do NOT include the VAT tax (12%, that will be added in the final bill).

Paolyn became recently VAT registered, that is why we had to add the VAT to our prices. Even so, how you can notice our prices are a lot cheaper of any other speedboat operator not only in Coron (see prices comparing table below) but in any place in Philippines.

The prices include the crew, fuel, life jackets, free unlimited drinking water in a cooler box, free use of towels and snorkeling gear, and the possibility to order additional cold drinks, including wine, beer and soft drinks, to enjoy during the excursion at the same prices shown in our published à la carte menu (https://www.paolynhouseboatscoronisland.com/a-la-carte-menu).
These rates are valid only for speedboat rentals departing from and returning to PaoLyn Houseboats. They do not apply to departures from or returns to Coron Town.

The Speedboat size and its engine will varies from 30 hp to 250 hp depending on the number of guests. The max capacity of our biggest speedboat is 15 people.

Note: Full-day rental prices are slightly lower than the combined price of two Half-Day rentals. This is because the crew must still be paid for the day even when the speedboat is used for only a Half-Day rental, and a speedboat reserved for a Half-Day excursion may also no longer be available to accommodate other guests requesting a Full-Day rental. For the same reason, the rental price does not decrease if guests decide to use the speedboat for less than four hours.

Please note that the destinations proposed for the Morning Coron Island route and those proposed for the Afternoon Coron Island route are located in opposite directions.

If guests wish to combine, within a Half-Day rental, destinations normally included in the Morning route with destinations normally included in the Afternoon route, an additional fuel surcharge will apply to cover the extra distance and fuel consumption.

In the morning, at around 7:00 AM, we can take you to Kayangan Lake and Barracuda Lake, both beautiful freshwater lakes. On the way back, we can also stop for snorkeling at the Twin Peaks Coral Garden, where the corals are still very well preserved and you can normally see plenty of fish and even two resident turtles.

The best time to leave the houseboats is no later than around 7:00 AM. We can serve your breakfast at 6:30 AM so that you can reach the lakes before the crowds arrive and enjoy them in a much more peaceful atmosphere. The first tourist boats from Coron Town normally start arriving at the lakes at around 9:00 AM.

If you particularly enjoy snorkeling, we can also take you to Siete Pecados Coral Garden. If you prefer beaches, on the way back we can stop at Vivian Beach, a lovely white-sand beach with a beautiful coral wall nearby for snorkeling.

Twin Lagoons can also be included, either at the beginning or at the end of the excursion.

If you plan to visit fewer destinations or use the speedboat for less than four hours, please consider that the fuel consumption and the captain’s salary will remain substantially the same, and the speedboat will normally not be available to rent to other guests during that period. For this reason, unfortunately we cannot offer a lower price if you decide to use the speedboat for less than four hours or visit fewer destinations.

In the afternoon, at around 2:00 PM, after a fresh-water shower, a nice lunch, and a little rest if you need it, we can take you to the amazing Atwayan Coral Garden, probably one of the best-preserved coral gardens in the Coron area; Skeleton Wreck, where you can snorkel over a shallow wreck at around 3 meters depth, surrounded by plenty of fish; Malwaway Coral Garden; Smith Beach and/or Banul Beach; and Smith Coral Garden, where five turtles live.

Smith Beach and Banul Beach face the sunset, so they can offer a wonderful way to end the afternoon, perhaps enjoying a cold beer when most of the other visitors have already left. The last tourist boats from Coron Town normally leave these areas at around 4:00–4:30 PM, allowing you to enjoy a much quieter and more peaceful atmosphere.

We can leave the houseboats at around 7:00 AM, return at approximately 11:00 AM, and then leave again after lunch at around 2:00 PM, returning at approximately 6:30 PM. This way, you can also fully enjoy the houseboats during the middle of the day, with time for a nice lunch, a fresh-water shower, a proper and comfortable toilet, and some rest — or even some paddling and snorkeling — during the approximately three-hour break between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

If you plan to visit fewer destinations or use the speedboat for less than approximately eight hours in total, please consider that the fuel consumption and the captain’s salary will remain substantially the same. For this reason, unfortunately we cannot offer a lower price if you decide to spend less time on the speedboat or visit fewer destinations.

Of course, you will pay entrance fees only for the destinations you actually decide to visit, and these will be added to your final bill.

The size of the speedboat and the engine used will vary depending on the number of guests. However, even for only two guests, we use a speedboat with at least a 115 HP engine and a capacity of at least six people, since part of the journey is in open water and a larger boat provides greater safety and comfort.
The maximum capacity of our largest speedboat is 15 guests.

We can also organize a private speedboat for a full-day trip to more distant destinations, such as the route commonly called the “Escape” trip, which includes the beautiful Malcapuya Island/Beach, Bulog Dos Island/Beach, Banana Island/Beach, and Ditaytayan Sandbar.

On the way back, and without any additional charge, we can also stop at Smith Coral Garden and Smith Beach for sunset, as well as at any of the destinations normally included in the Afternoon Half-Day Coron Island route, since these stops involve almost no additional distance, fuel consumption, or engine use.

If, instead, you would also like to visit on the same day some of the destinations normally included in the Morning Half-Day Coron Island route, such as Kayangan Lake or Barracuda Lake, an additional surcharge will apply to cover the extra fuel consumption and engine use since they are in opposite direction. In this case, please refer to our Mixed Trip prices.

The same applies if you would like to combine Escape destinations with Wreck destinations, as these areas are located in different directions — south and west. In this case as well, please refer to our Mixed Trip prices.

Please note that the Escape destinations cannot be combined with the Black Island area or Calauit Safari, as they are located in different directions.

Black Island and Calauit Safari can instead be combined with the Wreck destinations, since they are located along the same general route.

We can also organize a private speedboat for a full-day trip to the more distant Wreck destinations, including Skeleton Wreck, Lusong Gunboat Wreck, the amazing Lusong Coral Garden, and East Tangat Wreck.

We normally suggest leaving between 7:00 and 8:30 AM and returning between approximately 5:00 and 6:30 PM.

We can prepare lunch for you based on your order, and we will provide plates, glasses, cutlery, and cold drinks on the boat. Please note that these trips are subject to weather conditions.

From the Wreck route, you can also continue farther to visit the amazing Black Island, Debutonay Island, Pass Island, North Cay, and Calauit Safari, as these destinations are located along the same general route as the Wreck destinations, but farther away.

Black Island is particularly beautiful, with dramatic dark limestone high steep cliffs rising directly from a contrasting fine white-sand dunes beach and pristine clear water. The area also offers beautiful corals and marine life, as well as two caves on land with one with natural freshwater pools.

If you would like to continue beyond the Wreck destinations to Black Island, Debutonay Island, Pass Island, North Cay, or Calauit Safari, please refer to the applicable Mixed Destination prices.

The “CORON ISL” destinations referred to in the options below are the destinations normally included in the Morning Half-Day Coron Island route, such as Kayangan Lake and Barracuda Lake. You can also combine the Morning Coron Island attractions (or part of them), such as the lakes, with more distant destinations by choosing one of the following options.

For example, with Option 1, you can leave the houseboats at around 7:00 AM and visit Kayangan Lake and/or Barracuda Lake, Twin Peaks Coral Garden, and/or Twin Lagoons.

You can then return to the houseboats at around 10:00–11:00 AM for a comfortable early lunch.

As soon as you are ready, at around 12:30 PM or even earlier just after lunch, you can leave again to visit all or part of the Escape destinations, including Malcapuya Island/Beach, Bulog Dos Beaches, Banana Island/Beach, and Ditaytayan Sandbar.

With Option 2, after visiting the Morning Coron Island attractions (or part of them) , you can instead continue to all or part of the Wreck destinations, including Skeleton Wreck, Lusong Gunboat Wreck, Lusong Coral Garden, East Tangat Wreck.

On the way back, and without any additional charge, we can also stop at Smith Coral Garden and Smith Beach for sunset, as well as at any of the other destinations normally included in the Afternoon Half-Day Coron Island route, since these stops involve almost no additional distance, fuel consumption, or engine use.

You can also combine the Wreck and Escape destination (Option 3) with or without the Coron Island destinations.

If you choose an option that includes Black Island (Option 4) or Calauit Safari (Option 5), we would normally suggest visiting these destinations first. In the case of Calauit, we suggest visiting Calauit first and then Black Island before continuing to the other attractions. This allows you to reach these more distant destinations early in the morning, when there are normally fewer or no crowds at all and the sea is often calmer for the longer journey. For Option 4 and Option 5 we suggest not to Combine the Coron Island Morning Destination since the trip is already quite long and also these destination are nicer to be visited in the early morning like Black Island and Calauit.

Please note that all these trips are subject to weather conditions.

If you plan to visit fewer destinations or use the speedboat for less hours, please consider that the fuel consumption and the captain’s salary will remain substantially the same, and the speedboat cannot be rented to other guests during that day. For this reason, unfortunately we cannot offer a lower price if you decide to use the speedboat for only a few hours or visit fewer destinations.

Of course, you will pay entrance fees only for the destinations you actually decide to visit, and these will be added to your final bill.
