Introduction
Several members of the Tagbanua Tribe proudly work at Paolyn Houseboats, and many of them will also be your captains when you rent one of our private speedboats, powered by Yamaha and Suzuki outboard engines ranging from 30 HP to 250 HP.
With a private speedboat, you can discover Coron Island away from the crowds: swim in the famous freshwater lakes of Kayangan and Barracuda; snorkel in the beautiful coral gardens of Twin Peaks, Seven Picados, and others; explore the shallow WWII Japanese wrecks of Skeleton Wreck, Lusong Gunboat and East Tangat; relax on white-sand beaches such as Atwayan, Banul, Smith, CYC, Malcapuya, Bulog Dos and Banana Island; discover more remote islands including Ditaytayan, Pass, Malajon, better known as Black Island; and even visit Calauit Safari Park to see and feed the giraffes.
One of the great advantages of staying at Paolyn Houseboats is that our guests can enjoy many of the attractions of Coron Island before the day tourists arrive and again after they have left, allowing for a much more peaceful and special experience.
Please note that Coron Island and the surrounding water form part of the ancestral domain of the Tagbanua Tribe. Under Philippine law, the community is entitled to collect entrance fees from visitors entering the different attractions within their ancestral domain.
These entrance fees are managed by the Tribe’s Foundation and help support the approximately 2,000 members of the Tagbanua community through programs related to healthcare, medicines, livelihood assistance, scholarships and other community needs.

The speedboat is completely private for you, so you can decide how long you would like to stay at each attraction and personalize the itinerary according to your preferences.

Your captain will be a well-trained member of the Tagbanua Tribe, the Indigenous community that owns the ancestral domain of Coron Island. This means that the people guiding you around the island are also the people who can personally explain their special places, culture and traditions.

When you stay with us, you are already sleeping in the middle of Coron Island’s attractions. This allows you to visit many places before the day tourists arrive or after they have left. Some nearby attractions can even be reached using our free kayaks — Twin Lagoons, for example, is only about 500 meters away.

With us, you can also choose a half-day tour. Before or after your tour, you can enjoy a proper meal at Paolyn Houseboats, with good food and cold drinks, comfortably seated at a table in the shade. You can then spend the rest of the day relaxing or enjoying the many activities available around the houseboats.

Even with most of our full-day tours, you can still return to Paolyn Houseboats for lunch or dinner, enjoy a fresh-water shower, and then sit comfortably in the shade with good food and cold drinks instead of having to eat your meal on local boats or on the beach.

Paolyn Houseboats is already located at Coron Island, right in the middle of the main attractions. Our private speedboats are also considerably faster than the traditional tourist boats, or bangkas, travelling from Coron town. This means less time spent travelling and more time enjoying the lakes, lagoons, reefs, beaches and islands.
