We ask for full payment at the time of booking (normally within 24 hours, although we can wait 2–3 days if we are informed of a special situation). Please note that the reservation is not valid until the payment process has started and has been communicated to us by the guest by WhatsApp.

Since the start of the pandemic, Paolyn has made many rice donations and have been covering the medical expenses of all Tagbanua Tribe members from the two tribal villages of Coron Island who requested help — and they are more than 2,500 people.

In addition, Paolyn supports the Foundation of the Tagbanua Tribe of Coron Island with a free-interest loan (as of today over USD 500,000), with free-interest advance payments on the lagoons lease contracts (as of today over USD 400,000), and with free-interest salary cash advances for our employees (as of today over USD 50,000).

Paolyn operates only 8 houseboats, yet it employs over 300 young people, most of whom come from the Tagbanua Tribe that owns Coron Island (ancestral domain — land and water).

Many of them had never studied or worked before, and they are trained them from zero while receiving salaries far above the average in the Philippines.

In fact, Paolyn Houseboats did not start as a business — it started as a passion and as an effort to make a difference for the community.

Paolyn also pays a multi-million-dollar long-term water lease to the tribe community for locating the houseboats in the lagoons.

We are currently offering discounts to our guests (around 15% lower than Airbnb or Expedia, for example) to improve cash flow and allow us to continue supporting the Tagbanua Tribe members of Coron Island. The prices shown on our website are already discounted.

These are the reasons why we kindly ask our guests to complete the payment at the time of booking.
